Elon Musk Criticized for Allowing XRP Scam Posts

AIG PRE SALE

A recent increase in XRP-related scams on the social media platform X has raised concerns about the effectiveness of its owner, Elon Musk, in combating fraudulent activity.

A fresh wave of XRP-related scams has flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, causing frustration among crypto users.

These posts offer promises of substantial XRP airdrops, and users are questioning the platform’s ability to tackle spam and malicious content effectively.

Crypto enthusiasts have expressed their disappointment, with influential figure Coach K Crypto (@Coachkcrypto) asking Elon Musk why these scam posts continue to appear without being banned.

Musk’s Ineffective Attempts to Combat Scams

Despite Elon Musk’s assurances that X has eradicated 90% of scams, crypto users argue otherwise. Multiple reports indicate that fraudulent activity, particularly involving crypto, has hardly diminished.

Musk had previously claimed to have made a “dramatic improvement” in the platform’s capability to detect and remove malicious actors. However, users continue to fall victim to scams, with some tagging Musk in their complaints.

Increased Attention on X Attracts More Scams

Ripple, a cryptocurrency known for its XRP token, has always been a target for scammers because it’s quite popular. However, in recent months, there has been a noticeable increase in scams.

This is partly because Ripple has been in the news a lot due to legal victories and upcoming events. Scammers are taking advantage of this increased attention to trick people.

Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, announced a celebratory event in New York City scheduled for September 29. This event is meant to mark a significant legal win for Ripple against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
