Shiba Inu lead developer shares a cryptic tweet, with some suggesting he was hinting at an ongoing rivalry with the ecosystem.
The Shiba Inu leader took to X to post a GIF of the famous ‘Left Twix v. Right Twix’ rivalry theme yesterday. However, Kusama did not add any caption to the tweet, leaving Shiba Inu enthusiasts in the dark.

Left v. Right Twix
For context, Mars Inc. adopted the funny ‘Left Twix v. Right Twix’ theme as a marketing strategy to create engagement around its Twix shortbread biscuit. While the right Twix has chewy caramel atop a crisp cookie, the left Twix features smooth caramel on a crunchy cookie.
The promotional campaign requires Twix customers to identify which bar is better. Mars expects Twix customers to taste both bars to make this decision, potentially increasing their sales.
A Rivalry?
With Kusama posting the Left Twix v. Right Twix campaign, some suggest he might be hinting at a humorous rivalry within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Despite locking the comment section, several Shiba Inu community members have been reacting to the post through quotes. Some users suggested that one of the Twix is SHIB, while the other represents one of Shiba Inu’s ecosystem tokens, like the upcoming TREAT token. However, this remains unconfirmed.
In the meantime, Kusama has not provided more insight into the message he intended to pass through the imagery. Irrespective of whether there is an ongoing rivalry in the Shiba Inu ecosystem among existing products or tokens, they are ultimately in synergy to foster the growth of the canine-themed cryptocurrency.
Shiba Inu Needs More Work to Earn Respect
Notably, Kusama believes more work is needed to drive Shiba Inu’s growth. This requires a combined effort from both the ecosystem team and community members. Kusama believes Shiba Inu will receive the respect it deserves within the crypto space as the ecosystem grows.
The Shiba Inu leader made this suggestion last month while emphasizing that SHIB is the best-performing asset in the past decade. At the time, Kusama claimed that Shiba Inu had a lifetime gain of 33,774,726%, outperforming Bitcoin’s growth by 66x.
