Cronos Labs announces an expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud

Cronos Labs, a startup accelerator dedicated to expanding the Cronos blockchain ecosystem, has announced an exciting enhancement to its partnership with Google Cloud.

This collaboration positions Google Cloud as the main cloud provider for Cronos, focusing on four key areas: onboarding Google Cloud as a validator, driving technical innovation, boosting developer engagement at the intersection of AI and blockchain, and creating value for startups in the Cronos Accelerator program.

Ken Timsit, Managing Director of Cronos Labs, highlighted the partnership’s benefits, stating that it will improve network security and reliability, attract more startups to the Cronos Accelerator, and pave the way for innovative decentralized applications using Google Cloud’s advanced technologies.

Rishi Ramchandani from Google Cloud emphasized their commitment to Web3 by becoming a validator node operator within the Cronos ecosystem. This collaboration aims to equip developers with the necessary tools to create the next wave of decentralized applications, utilizing Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and AI capabilities.

As part of this partnership, Google Cloud will join a network of 32 validators, enhancing the stability and security of the Cronos EVM protocol. Additionally, Cronos Labs is leveraging Google Cloud’s infrastructure to develop the Cronos zkEVM, a Layer-2 blockchain that aims to improve performance and accessibility in the Web3 space.

The collaboration also seeks to drive developer adoption by providing access to comprehensive blockchain datasets on Google Cloud, enabling innovative applications that utilize AI and blockchain together. To further foster creativity, Cronos and Google Cloud will co-host virtual hackathons, offering developers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.

Lastly, the partnership will enhance the Cronos Accelerator program, giving startups access to valuable resources, mentorship, and training to help them build AI-enabled Web3 applications within the Cronos ecosystem. This initiative underscores the commitment of both Cronos Labs and Google Cloud to support innovation and growth in the blockchain space.
