After Solana’s $320M Hack, Investors Seek Safety in Chainlink & Rollblock

Solana has come a long way from its January 2023 lows. However, it hasn’t shaken off its reputation as a blockchain prone to hacks. It is for this reason that the smart money is rolling its profits into blue chips like decentralized oracle provider Chainlink, and new presale investment opportunities like GambleFi protocol Rollblock, whose presale has already drawn $7.2 million in funding.

Rollblock presale putting early investors in a profit

Newly-launched GambleFi protocol Rollblock is in the middle of every crypto conversation as being one of the hottest presale investment opportunities of the year. Rollblock is bringing the $500 billion iGaming industry to Web3 with the launch of its GambleFi protocol on Ethereum. It combines a superior online casino and sports betting experience with the cutting-edge functionality of DeFi staking and revenue sharing opportunities powered by its $RBLK token.

$RBLK holders will be entitled to a percentage of the casino’s profits paid out as a weekly dividend, besides entitling them to staking and yield farming opportunities. Alongside the thousands of slots, table games, live casino, and sports betting action on offer at the premier iGaming platform on Ethereum, Rollblock offers a depth of DeFi functionality never before seen in the GambleFi sector. The Rollblock presale has the best possible exposure to the GambleFi narrative, which it is set to dominate in the coming years.

Solana hack tanks SOL prices entering December

Solana had been riding high all year long, capping a sensational run stretching back from January 2023, when Solana prices were $9, to minting new all-time highs of $263.21 last November 24th. However, December hasn’t started off on a strong note after a report about a Solana hack was published at the beginning of the month.

The Solana hack involved the theft of $30 million worth of Solana meme coins from 8,620 wallets on the DEXX meme coin trading platform. The Solana hack, first reported on November 16th, coincided with a 9% plunge to close out the previous month. Currently, Solana trades at $217.50 as of press time. The recent Solana hack harkens back to the Wormhole Bridge Exploit, a 2022 Solana hack worth $320 million, which underscored Solana’s proclivity towards security incidents and blockchain outages.

Chainlink price pumps by 125% in the past month

Chainlink is entering December on a roll after posting a 125% gain in the past month. In the past 24 hours, LINK prices turned in a 30% increase, peaking at $25.32 as of press time. Just last November 26th, Chainlink prices sat at $16.50, until going on a 53% gain in the final week of November. Prior to that, Chainlink price had been lagging relative to its competitors within the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap. The recent Chainlink rally was attributed to the new updates and developments implemented in the decentralized oracle provider’s ecosystem.

Rollblock offers the best upside potential out of all 3

SOL, LINK, and Rollblock make valid points as far as being investments for 2025. However, Rollblock trumps them in terms of upside price appreciation potential. If Rollblock manages to capture even just a fraction of the $500B online gambling market, it could translate to a parabolic price spike for its native token $RBLK in 2025.
