Bitcoin To Hit $300,000 This Year, HashKey Says

HashKey has predicted that Bitcoin could skyrocket to $300,000 in 2025, evolving into a strategic reserve asset supporting the US dollar. 

HashKey, Asia’s leading Web3 infrastructure developer and virtual asset group, made the forecast in its “Top 10 Market Predictions” for 2025. With almost 50,000 community members voting on predictions compiled by HashKey’s researchers, analysts, and traders, the report shows key trends shaping the future of the crypto market.

The top prediction is that Bitcoin will surpass $300,000 in 2025, followed by Ether surpassing $8,000. According to the report, the total crypto market cap could surge to $10 trillion, from $3.46 trillion today. 

This prediction could be fueled by the growing mainstream adoption of Bitcoin. MicroStrategy is at the forefront, but BTC can be seen on the balance sheets of many other companies, such as Tesla, CoinBase, and Semlar Scientific.

The second most probable prediction for 2025 is that decentralized exchanges (DEXs) will leverage AI agents and memes to expand their market share. Furthermore, centralized exchanges (CEXs) will turn to decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies to attract capital with high-yield investment products.

According to HashKey, the third prediction is that the market cap of USD-pegged stablecoins will surpass $300 billion, “driven by increasing demand for compliant stablecoins, yield-bearing stablecoins, and RWA-backed stablecoins.”

HashKey’s Other Predictions 

Among other hot predictions for 2025, HashKey highlights security token offerings, exchange-traded funds, and central bank digital currencies to inject $3 trillion into the crypto market. HashKey also predicts that AI Agent applications will grow rapidly and the layer 2 landscape will divide into two main types—Application-Specific Chain and General-Purpose Chain.

The 2025 prediction doesn’t overlook the potential impact of Trump’s inauguration on the crypto world. The Trump administration is expected to approve the FIT21 Act, which will accelerate global crypto legalization, while Bitcoin becomes a strategic reserve supporting the US dollar. 

Finally, HashKey’s predictions include the approval of new crypto ETFs, including XRP and SOL, a surge of “crypto-concept stocks” on the Nasdaq, and increased investor interest in “crypto mining and infrastructure stocks.”
