Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced wallet maintenance on the Ethereum (ETH) $3,381 network. This maintenance will commence on January 2, 2025, at 09:00 UTC. During this period, deposit and withdrawal transactions on the Ethereum network will be temporarily suspended, with the maintenance expected to last approximately one hour.
Wallet Maintenance Will Not Affect Ethereum Transactions
Binance clarified that while wallet maintenance occurs, only deposit and withdrawal transactions will be impacted. Users looking to perform transactions on the Ethereum network will not experience any disruptions during this maintenance period.
Trading activities involving ETH will continue unaffected during the maintenance process. This assurance means that users can engage in buying and selling ETH without any interruptions.
Deposit and Withdrawal Transactions to Resume Post-Maintenance
After the wallet maintenance is completed, Binance confirmed that deposit and withdrawal transactions on the Ethereum network will resume. There will be no additional announcements regarding this resumption, as Binance will ensure all technical needs are met during the maintenance. Transactions will reactivate once the network stabilizes.
As of the time of this report, ETH was trading at $3,351, reflecting a 2.25% decrease over the past 24 hours.
