Another new move came from Ethereum (ETH) founder Vitalik Buterin, known for his altcoin donations.
At this point, Buterin donated 10 million Thai baht (about $292,230) to the Khao Kheow Zoo in Thailand.
The zoo’s management also announced that Buterin adopted the zoo’s famous hippo Moo Deng and his family for two years with the donation.
“Thank you Vitalik Buterin for participating in the Wildlife Sponsorship Program and adopting Moo Deng for his family with a generous donation of 10,000,000 THB!
We look forward to working with you over the next 2 years for the benefit of the Khao Kheow Open Zoo community and all our visitors!”
According to Vitalik Buterin’s letter, the donation will be made in two installments. The first donation will be completed today, December 26. The remaining 5,00,000 THB is expected to be made within a year.
After Vitalik Buterin’s donation and adoption, MOODENG’s price increased by over 70%. MOODENG, which has given away some of its gains, is still trading at $0.00021 at the time of writing.
