ETF Store CEO Nate Geraci, one of the experts closely followed by the cryptocurrency market, especially during the approval process of Bitcoin and Ethereum Spot ETFs, shared some of his predictions for the crypto market for 2025 in his statement.
The expert, who spoke about his predictions in order of his confidence in their likelihood of coming true, first of all, among his predictions is the approval of ETFs consisting of a mix of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum. Geraci is quite confident in this prediction, as both cryptocurrencies already have spot ETFs.
Secondly, the expert name points to the approval of options for Ethereum Spot ETFs. Options for Bitcoin Spot ETFs came a long time after ETF approvals.
Third on their list of predictions is enabling in-kind payments for spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. The SEC had previously required spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs to include cash payments before approving them. In-kind payments offer some tax benefits and could increase the appeal of cryptocurrency ETFs.
In addition, Geraci lists the approval of the staking feature for Spot ETH ETFs as the fourth in his predictions. The SEC had only allowed Ethereum Spot ETFs on the condition that they did not use the staking feature.
Geraci’s final and least confident 2025 prediction is approval of spot Solana ETFs. Solana is considered a security by some, but the SEC under the Trump administration could change that view.
However, the expert added that he thinks all of these predictions will come true, although there are differences in confidence levels.
