The RWA market is currently one of the hottest crypto sectors around. RWA is all about tokenizing real-world assets. Remora Markets is active on Solana and offers now tokenized stocks to institutions. Institutions do this by means of KYB.
That’s the same as a KYC procedure but for institutions. Retail will get access to their tokenized stocks at a later date. So, what’s happening with these tokenized stocks offered by Remora Markets?
Tokenized Stocks for Institutions
Remora Markets offers institutions the option to own onchain stocks. To be precise, Solana tokenized stocks. That’s right. Remora Markets offers the first RWA marketplace for tokenized stocks on Solana. You can buy stocks like Nvidia, Microsoft, or Tesla. This allows you to own these and plenty of other tokenized stocks with your Solana-based $USDC.
Today we’re opening the onboarding for entities looking to KYB and become the first wave of users to mint Remora assets.

With your $USDC, you can mint one of Remora’s RWAs. The price is the same as on traditional markets. Once you mint them, you can add them to your noncustodial Solana wallet. For example, Phantom or Solflare. Now, you can use them across the Solana DeFi ecosystem. You can trade them, get yield, borrow, or lend them.
One of the advantages of these RWA stocks is that you can fractionalize them as well. This means that you don’t need to buy a whole stock. Instead, you can bring the stock online as an RWA or tokenized stock. Now you can fractionalize them into 100, 1,000, or more parts. So, both institutions and, at a later stage, retail, can buy what they can afford. It makes tokenized stocks accessible and affordable.
Step Finance Acquires Remora, Launches Tokenized Stocks on Solana
In December 2024, Step Finance acquired Remora Markets. This offered combined blockchain expertise and financial tech. The platform is also compliant, which is rather common in RWA. That’s why companies need to go through a KYB (Know Your Business) procedure. That’s like retail doing a KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure.
Remora is coming.
Quick reminder: In the same fashion as other brands under Step Group, all generated revenue from @RemoraMarkets will go toward STEP token buybacks (via @StepBuyAlerts). There will not be a Remora token. https://t.co/ZXlHcltr7R

This gives institutions a great opportunity to diversify their portfolio on Solana. There are also plans by Remora Markets to open this marketplace at a later stage for retail. That’s something to look forward to. To sum up, Remora Markets opened the tokenized stocks market on Solana. Institutions, retail, and DeFi fans can take part in their marketplace.
