Gate Charity, the charitable arm of Gate.io, held a volunteer initiative at the Al Noor Center for Special Needs, a non-profit organization in Dubai that has been providing education, care, and training for children with special needs for over 40 years.

The Center supports children with Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and other special needs, offering services to families who may struggle to afford the care their children need, even at highly subsidized rates.

Since its founding in 1981 with just eight children, Al Noor has grown into a vital institution, serving the Dubai community and providing essential support to children and their families. The subsidized fees only cover 30-40% of the actual operating costs, so the Center relies heavily on community donations and corporate support to continue its mission.

Gate Charity is excited to contribute to Al Noor’s work through a variety of volunteering and donation initiatives. The proposed collaboration will allow Gate.io employees to actively engage with the Center, participating in hands-on activities that directly benefit the students. Volunteers will help raise awareness about the important work Al Noor is doing and will have the opportunity to participate in vocational training activities, assisting students in developing skills such as printing, woodworking, and sewing. Alternatively, volunteers can take part in interactive art sessions, creating collaborative works of art with the students.

These activities not only help students develop practical skills but also build relationships between corporate volunteers and the children at the Center, creating a meaningful connection between the business community and the students with special needs.

The corporate volunteering events take place on weekdays, excluding Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Al Noor Training Centre for persons with special needs, located in Al Barsha, Dubai. Gate Charity provided a donation of 7,000 AED (1,912.56 USDT) to support this initiative, and each volunteering session required 6-8 participants.

Gate Charity invites individuals to join this important cause, whether through volunteering, sponsoring a child’s tuition, or adopting a classroom. By working together, the business community can make a lasting impact on the lives of children with special needs and help Al Noor continue its valuable work. Gate Charity remains dedicated to leveraging its platform to support communities worldwide and is committed to collaborating with Al Noor in their mission to provide care and educational support for children with special needs.
