Fruition Production, a Los Angeles-based film and gaming studio, has planned to release an XRP documentary in November. The gaming studio gave the update in an X post, stating that it is pursuing self-distribution.

Fruition Productions Self-Financing XRP Documentary

The documentary will be available on platforms like Apple TV and Amazon. Fruition said there is less demand for new content from less established providers in Hollywood, so it has to self-finance the documentation without support from streaming service platforms.

Regarding Netflix, Fruition Productions has made it clear that working with the streaming service would involve many intermediaries. They claim these intermediaries may damage the project before it is finished.

The documentary will be available for rent, with plans to move to an AD-supported platform. Fruition will release a thriller a few weeks before the official launch. For now, Fruition said it is into some serious research. “The documentary will be available in many places so that audiences can view it in the locations they think makes sense,” Fruition noted.

Brad Garlinghouse and Executive Turns Down Interview

Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple Labs Inc., and his executive team will not be featured in the documentary, based on their request. Considering the scope of topics it addresses, Fruition says it does not blame them for refusing to appear.

However, the team behind the production interviewed Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz.

Meanwhile, XRP’s documentary is one among many other films that have debuted to spread the adoption of crypto and blockchain. Two years ago, Gala, a leading innovator in Web3 entertainment, partnered with Universal Games and Digital Platforms to release DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls VOX. VOX is unique, collectible, 3D-animated, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) with potential future uses.

XRP’s Price Reaction to Documentary Release

The documentary announcement appears not to have positively affected XRP’s price. XRP experienced a 0.5% decline in the past day, setting its price at $0.5952. Within the same time frame, the trading volume decreased by 36% to $807 million. This decline indicates less optimism from investors and traders.
