Treasure DAO Plans on Gaming Shift to ZKsync from Arbitrum

Treasure DAO, renowned for its gaming projects on Arbitrum, recently announced a strategic proposal. The plan is to transition its Web3 gaming infrastructure from Arbitrum to ZKsync. This move is motivated by ZKsync’s compatibility with Treasure’s future vision for decentralized gaming. It indicates that ZKsync could better accommodate their expansive plans.

On September 17, Treasure DAO members are slated to vote on the migration initiative. This could see the project’s ecosystem transition to a new blockchain. The proposed shift involves adopting ZKsync’s ZK Stack technology. This will launch the Treasure chain, transitioning away from the previously intended Arbitrum Orbit.

If the community consents, Treasure DAO will debut its mainnet on ZKsync by mid-November. The preliminary step would involve transferring the testnet from Arbitrum to ZK Stack. This strategic decision stems from prolonged internal discussions. It reflects a thoughtful approach to leveraging emerging technologies in blockchain gaming.

Thoughts on Migration

The core development team has decided not to vote but to leave the decision to the general community. This further clarifies the development team’s objective regarding community and governance.

Mr. Karel Vuong, the co-founder of Treasure, ZKsync, stated they could not advance their goals using this technology stack. Their intentions are focused on the ambitious development of a decentralized gaming platform with a mass-market orientation.

Arbitrum DAO Unveils ARB Staking & Governance Upgrades

Earlier this year, Vuong championed a significant initiative with the Arbitrum DAO to bolster game development on the network. Despite these efforts, ZKsync’s capabilities seem better suited to Treasure DAO’s evolving needs.

Impact on the Community and Token Holders

This proposal will immensely depend on the owners of the MAGIC token, Treasure DAO’s native cryptocurrency. The upgrade to the Treasure gaming console may improve its performance and boost adoption. It currently hosts over ten games and might add more in the future.

In conclusion, the suggested relocation of the Treasure DAO from Arbitrum to ZKsync will be a significant enhancement from the Treasure gaming ecosystem improvement perspective. This move is in line with the company’s desire for decentralization. If the users approve, the gaming world can be taken to a different level.
