The recently launched app is currently accessible to iPhone and iPad users in the United States. The plan is to expand availability to more countries in the upcoming weeks, and an Android version will be released shortly.

Like Apple, other major companies have also limited internal usage of ChatGPT. On May 2, Samsung issued a memo to its employees prohibiting the use of generative AI tools, including ChatGPT.

Samsung implemented the policy after an incident where its staff mistakenly uploaded a “sensitive code” to the platform.

Samsung instructed employees who use such applications on their personal devices to refrain from uploading any company information. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.

JPMorgan, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup have joined Samsung and Apple in prohibiting the internal use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT.

Several companies that have banned employee usage of AI chatbots are simultaneously developing their own applications. In early May, Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the company intends to incorporate AI into all of its products.
