Arkham Intel Exchange sparks debate on crypto privacy and transparency. With 32 active bounties averaging $3,677, CEO Miguel Morel defends the platform’s operations despite privacy concerns.
The Arkham Intel Exchange, a pioneering marketplace for cryptocurrency intelligence trading, has made a promising start with 11 unique submissions since its July 10 inception. The platform’s encouragement for users to disclose identities behind anonymous blockchain addresses has sparked a significant debate within the crypto community.
Arkham Intel Exchange: Prominent Bounties and Privacy Debate
The marketplace currently features 32 active bounties, with seven from Tron DAO and the majority from Arkham Admin. The average bounty value is 5,931 ARKM ($3,677), and over 72% of the bounties are valued at 1,000 ARKM. The bounties cover diverse targets, including identifying the public address of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and attributing addresses belonging to Bitwise, a prominent crypto asset manager with over $1 billion in assets.
Notably, the two most substantial bounties, worth around 100,000 ARKM and 50,000 ARKM, respectively, focus on identifying addresses that exploited FTX during its collapse and hacked crypto trading firm Wintermute. Another significant submission seeks to identify a MicroStrategy (MSTR) address with over 10,000 BTC volume, offering a bounty of 1,500 ARKM.
Despite limited buyers requesting on-chain intelligence, all submissions come from unique addresses, indicating a diverse user base. CEO Miguel Morel has defended the platform’s operations amid a public-relations storm, arguing that most blockchains inherently lack privacy in their current state.
ARKM Token Sees 13% Decrease, Arkham Reassures User Privacy
Since its debut, the ARKM token has experienced a 13% decrease to 65 cents. Despite the controversy, CEO Morel addresses criticism, stressing that Arkham’s technology is strictly for public information and not intended to compromise individual privacy.
The platform caters to retail traders, professional trading firms, market makers, and journalists, providing on-chain analytics to better understand the crypto market dynamics. Morel assures that user privacy is a top priority, and the company has already implemented changes to enhance privacy protection.
Arkham’s market performance remains robust amid ongoing controversy. At present, Arkham’s price is 0.629414 USD, with a 24-hour trading volume of $62,891,564. The market capitalization has increased by 4.09% in the past 24 hours, reaching $94,412,093.
