This is unexpected because Zhao was one of the key investors in Musk’s acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion last year.
Shortly after Elon Musk resigned as CEO of Twitter, Changpeng Zhao took the decision to unfollow him on the platform. This happened following Musk’s recent posts, which led to a price surge in two meme tokens, namely PEPE and BOB.
CZ, also known as Zhao, had pledged $500 million to support his vision for the social media platform. He believed in Musk’s passion for freedom of expression and wanted to encourage more innovation and engagement among Twitter users.
Musk didn’t mention anything about Zhao unfollowing him, but he did tweet recently expressing his satisfaction with the progress of Twitter’s development. He also mentioned having many more ideas to further enhance the platform.
Zhao’s decision to unfollow Musk might indicate a potential disagreement or distancing between the two influential figures in the cryptocurrency world. Both Binance and Musk have played significant roles in the advancement and acceptance of cryptocurrencies.
