The upcoming hackathon organised by VeChain and the Boston Consulting Group just got a whole lot more exciting with the announcement of the latest guest speaker: Dr Bernhard Kronfellner.

Kronfellner is the head of blockchain at the consulting giant, which he joined in 2007. He was involved in BCG’s financial institution’s practice area, where he worked with some of the world’s biggest banks and leading regulators on private equity, credit portfolio management, digitalization, and more before switching focus to digital assets and blockchain technology.

At the hackathon, Kronfellner will deliver a keynote address titled “Catalysts for Change,” delving into how his consultancy and the VeChain team are building the future of X-to-Earn apps.

The VeChain team expressed excitement at the inclusion of Kronfellner on the speakers list, stating:

Building the foundations of tomorrow’s business environment takes collaboration with world-leading entities, like BCG. We look forward to hearing from Dr Kronfellner as he inspires builders with insights from the world’s top Management Consultants.

The VeChain x BCG Hackathon is Almost Here

The hackathon will take place on September 14 and 15 at The Legacy Hotel in Singapore. It will happen just before Token2049, one of the biggest events in crypto which kicks off on September 18.

“If you’re fascinated by AI, Blockchain, or just making the world a better place, this is the event you’ve been waiting for.  This is the place to be! Builders from all around the world will be here to showcase the most cutting-edge Web3 tech. Tons of alpha to be gained all around!” writes EasyA, the leading Web3 builders’ ecosystem. EasyA has partnered with BCG and VeChain to organize the event.

Attendees will compete for a share of a $30,000 prize and thousands of other grants. They will also get to network with some of the leading investors and brightest minds. EasyA has a great track record in helping build startups, with one of its graduates, Cognition AI, raising funding in April at a $2 billion valuation, barely six months since its launch.

The hackathon is open to coders and non-technical innovators, and participants don’t need to come with a team to be part of the event. Coders will build their ideas on the VeChain blockchain and will get to use all their favorite tools, including Ethereum’s Solidity language.

Hackathons have been a critical part of VeChain’s growth and have nurtured some of the most innovative applications deploying their solutions on the network.

VeChain and BCG have continued to partner on blockchain-powered sustainability, with the X-to-Earn ecosystem the biggest success. This ecosystem houses several dApps that reward their users for participating in actions that contribute to the greater goal of sustainability.

VET trades at $0.02163, gaining 7% over the past week despite sideways trading in the past day.
