Futureverse, Ripple Custody Partner to Secure Digital Assets

Ripple is making remarkable progress with the latest addition of its partnership with Futureverse. This partnership aims to synchronize Ripple Custody with Futureverse to make XRP more appropriate in metaverse spaces.

Brad Garlington, CEO of Ripple, posted the latest developments on his X profile, stating that the new programmability for XRP Ledger and the support for Ripple’s products are becoming more robust and reliable.

Latest Developments from Ripple

Ripple, currently on tour in Japan and Korea, announced three key developments to strengthen the foundations of crypto infrastructure and thereby support blockchain utility and usability.

Elaborating on the updates, the partnership between AI and Metaverse tech company Futureverse and Ripple Custody has been highly appreciated. The tech company has already adopted the XRPL NFT standard and uses XRP as a transaction token on the Root Network. Additionally, it is integrated with the XRPL DEX to supply network liquidity.

The integration between Ripple and the broader XRP community shows Ripple’s commitment to the XRPL’s growth, especially in facilitating applications and smart contracts based on a planned XRPL EVM sidechain. The XRPL EVM sidechain will bring new programmability to the XRPL dev ecosystem in 2025.

Korean University Becomes 58th Global Partner

Furthermore, Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) recently signed deals with Yonsei University in South Korea, marking the university as the 58th global partner. With over $60 million members committed to UBRI, the program is driven to enhance academic excellence and its research structure through strategic support, technical resources, and grants.

This brings to light Ripple’s previous commitment made in March 2022. The XRPL Japan and Korea Fund is part of Ripple’s commitment to $1 billion XRP, which aims to improve developers’ financial, technical, and business struggles.
