Hogwarts Legacy Sequel is a big priority for Warner Bros

The Warner Bros CFO revealed that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is one of their top priorities. He mentioned this during a recent interview at Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference on Wednesday. WB also plans to add more titles, such as Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.

At the time of its release, Hogwarts Legacy earned itself the best selling title of the year in the US market. The game had beaten strong competitors like COD: Modern Warfare 3 and the game of the year, Baldur’s Gate 3.

During an interview with Variety at the Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference, the CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels showed great interest in the Hogwarts Legacy sequel. He said that the sequel is “one of the company’s biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road”.

Wiedenfels didn’t add further information if the sequel was already in development. There are not enough details to guess the release date, however, it does increase the hope for the franchise’s future.

Harry Potter new gaming titles are also in Warner Bros plans

The Warner Bros company wants to add more titles to the Harry Potter gaming universe like Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.

David Hadad, who is the Interactive President for Warner Bros also shared the plans besides Hogwarts Legacy for the franchise. He said, like the Harry Potter Quidditch Championship, the company would be releasing more titles.

Haddad added that these future titles “will let fans be a part of this world and stories and characters in deeper and deeper ways”. He shared no more details about these titles but it is still good news for the fans worldwide.

There may not be any hurry in the sequel as players are still exploring new things in the Hogwarts Legacy. Given that the game is still  fresh in the market with new players pouring in each month. Although this information regarding the sequel will make fans stay alert for any solid update and the much awaited Director’s Cut in the coming months.
