Coinbase has reignited speculations regarding the launch of its wrapped Bitcoin product cbBTC after the official Base Twitter account posted what is believed to be the official logo for the new product.
This comes nearly a month after the initial statement hinting that cbBTC would be released “soon.”
The timing of the logo’s release has raised expectations that cbBTC’s launch could be imminent. The new wrapped Bitcoin product is seen as a potential response to recent controversies surrounding wBTC and its issuer BitGo, which have raised concerns about Justin Sun’s involvement in the project.
In a coordinated move, other Coinbase and Base team members also tweeted the cbBTC logo, signaling that the launch follows a strategy consistent with the broader Coinbase and Base ecosystem.
