Meta Eagle Club NFT Scam Lawsuit Exposed

AIG PRE SALE

  • The group stated that only few information were intensely promoted such as tickets to exciting events, two Galyverse events with 11 physical artworks.
  • NFT holders were lured by a lot of benefits after joining Meta Eagle Club.
  • The group has mentioned in its claims that nothing was real and also they didn’t really create the real Meta Eagle Club as well.

The federal court of New York received another complaint related to the NFT scam by a group of 36 non-fungible token holders on October 9. The group claimed the project as well as the artist Gal Yosef was running an exit scam in the name of Eden Gallery.

The claims also added that they didn’t keep up with metaverse-based private clubs and benefits offered by the Gallery earlier.

Between February 2022 and November 2023, the Meta Eagle club earned around $13 million by selling about 12,000 unique eagle humanoids.

The group has mentioned in its claims that nothing was real and also they didn’t really create the real Meta Eagle Club as well. They further went on to say that the people behind this project have no understanding and practice of blockchain or smart contract development. Also, they know nothing related to software development as well.

NFT holders were lured by a lot of benefits after joining Meta Eagle Club. The roadmap of Meta Eagle Club mentioned that in order to win entry to Eden Gallery events, hot air balloon rides and many more exciting events, the users have to just join the Club.

The group stated that only few information were intensely promoted such as tickets to exciting events, two Galyverse events with 11 physical artworks. The artworks were signed by the artist Gal Yosef itself.

Luring customers in the name of Galyverse

Eden Gallery has also faced a state of disharmony, back in 2023 in the matter of distributing the budget of leftover items of the roadmap due to which they had to conduct a voting.

In the lawsuit, the gallery and the artist were claimed of promising to provide more art to onboard people over a virtual world named as Galyverse. Galyverse was designed to provide the authority to see the investments of members in the club. The members will also be able to get perks in the form of digital assets.

Because of this, a lot of investors got excited to put their money into Eagle NFT which was completely based on vague information and later had to bear the losses as they made fake promises which were never honored, the claimers further added. The group has allegedly paid for NFTs more than their worth.

Previous lawsuits against NFT frauds

This is not the first time that a lawsuit has been filed against this type of NFT fraud. Before this, on September 19, a case was filed against the NFT marketplace by two OpenSea users. In that case, the users claimed to be selling unregistered securities contracts after OpenSea got a final notice after investigation by the SEC.

In may, a user who got fed up with Italian fashion brand Dolce and Gabbana filed a case for not providing NFT products on time, resulting in loss of value of the assets.
