MetaMask, a provider of cryptocurrency wallets and decentralized applications (DApps), has recently launched support for Ether transactions via PayPal, targeting customers in the United States, which is one of its significant markets. Notably, MetaMask proudly asserts its distinction as the first Web3 wallet to integrate with PayPal, facilitating seamless Ether transactions.
Thanks to this partnership, customers in the United States who use MetaMask now have the choice to buy ETH using PayPal. Additionally, the integration allows users to send Ether from their PayPal account directly to their MetaMask wallet.
Actively Seeking Integrations and Collaborations
In December of last year, the financial technology company formed a strategic partnership with ConsenSys, the parent company of MetaMask. This collaboration aims to simplify the process of acquiring cryptocurrency and enhance user experience within the Web3 ecosystem.
Expanding its array of payment options, MetaMask now includes PayPal as a supported method alongside Coinbase Pay, MoonPay, Sardine, Transak, and Wyre. The company’s quarterly report, submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), indicates a notable increase in crypto assets from $604 million in the previous quarter to $943 million by the end of March 2023.
MetaMask recently unveiled an innovative feature called “Buy Crypto,” allowing users to purchase cryptocurrencies directly within the Portfolio DApp using fiat currency. This feature enables customers to buy a range of cryptocurrencies using various payment methods, including debit and credit cards, as well as wire transfers, all without leaving the MetaMask platform.
MetaMask’s “Buy Crypto” functionality calculates a customized price for each purchase, considering the user’s geographic location and relevant laws and regulations.
