XRP RIPPLE

Amid an ongoing and persistent cyberattack spanning several days, Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton fell victim to a phone hack on June 4th

Lawyer John Deaton, using his daughter’s account, promptly notified his followers about the security breach, urging them to report the hack. In response, the XRP community rallied together, disseminating information to raise awareness about the incident.

Crypto Law, an account managed by the attorney representing more than 76,000 XRP token holders in the Ripple vs. United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) lawsuit, promptly addressed the tweet made by the hacker from the attorney’s compromised account. Crypto Law clarified that the tweets did not originate from John Deaton himself but were instead the work of hackers, assuring that swift actions are being taken to rectify the situation.

Coinciding with his birthday celebrations, John Deaton experienced the hack, accompanied by birthday wishes pouring in from various segments of the crypto community. Tweets from the hackers sought to promote a cryptocurrency token called LAW, which currently possesses an extremely minimal market cap. Renowned for his unwavering stance in challenging regulatory enforcement actions undertaken by U.S. agencies, the attorney has solidified his position as a highly influential figure within the crypto community.

The propagation of misleading information and deceptive financial data within the cryptocurrency market poses a substantial risk, as traders frequently depend on guidance from influential figures in the industry. Such actions not only endanger the stability of the market but also offer regulators further justification to approach the industry with prudence and caution.
