Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined the Republican candidate for US Presidency, Donald Trump, on stage at a rally in Arizona.
Trump praised Kennedy as “phenomenal” and “brilliant”, as he welcomed him on stage. The descendent of one of the US’ most famous Democratic political dynasties got a roar of approval from the Republican public when he joined Trump on stage in Glendale, Arizona.
During his speech, the Republican candidate said he would release all the remaining documents regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy if he were elected as President in November, as part of a proposed new commission on presidential assassination attempts, including the latest one that targeted him, as The Guardian also highlights.
Trump also pledged that, if elected, he would establish a panel of top experts working with Kennedy to investigate childhood health problems.
Kennedy said that the US should elect a president who would get the country out of wars and rebuild the middle class. Also, he mentioned that Trump told him that he wanted to end censorship in the US because democracy is based on the free flow of information.
“We know that a government that can silence its opponents has a license for any kind of atrocity,” he said, explaining that censorship paves the road to totalitarianism.
He also addressed the importance of having a safe environment for the children of the US, saying that Trump will make America healthy again.
RFK Jr. Endorses Trump
On Friday, RFK Jr. announced he was suspending his third-party presidential campaign to endorse Donald Trump. As BBC notes, Kennedy said in a press conference in Phoenix, Arizona, that he would remove his name from the ballot in 10 battleground states.
During the speech, Kennedy said that the only thing that can save the US and its children is if “we choose to love our kids more than we hate each other.”
He also promised that if he’s given the chance to fix the chronic disease crisis and reform food production, within two years, the US will see the chronic disease burden lift dramatically.
“We will be stronger, more resilient, more optimistic, and happier. I won’t fail in doing this. Ultimately, the future, however, it happens, is in God’s hands, in the hands of the American voters, and those of President Trump,” he said.
Kennedy highlighted the importance of unifying America, saying that if people unite and love their children, they can finally offer them protection, health, and the future they deserve.
During his speech in Arizona, Trump made it clear that he would work together with Kennedy, showing that the force and power of the coalition behind Making America Great Again is stronger than ever.
Elon Musk also showed support for Trump and Kennedy, together on stage, and shared a post on X, calling the historical moment “iconic.”
