Earlier today, the largest crypto exchange in South Korea, Upbit, announced the listing of Safe (SAFE) token, supporting the KRW, USDT, and BTC markets.
Following Upbit’s official listing announcement, the price of the SAFE token surged significantly.
SAFE Price Surges by 74%
After the South Korean crypto exchange announced the SAFE token listing today, the coin’s price spiked by over 74%, reaching a price of over $1.75, and a market cap of more than $813 million.
At the moment of writing this article, SAFE is trading around $1.65, up by over 64% in the past 24 hours.
Ahead of the listing announcement via Upbit, the coin recorded a slight price drop from $1.13, below $1 on October 23, followed by today’s significant price surge.
Safe (SAFE) Notable Achievements
Just a few minutes ago, via an X post, the team at Safe announced that the project’s TVL is more than 5x the TVL of Robinhood’s CEX.
It’s also worth noting that Polymarket, the biggest prediciton market is built on Safe – Polymarket’s popularity has grown lately due to the important upcoming US elections.
Also, on October 22, the team at Safe announced that soon, Safe will bridge on-chain to off-chain liquidity.
What is Safe (SAFE)?
According to the Safe (SAFE) account on X, the project is “the ownership layer” and the largest smart account ecosystem on the EVM. There are over 200 projects built with Safe, and over $100 billion in value secured.
The Safe project includes the following:

- Safe{Wallet} – the industry standard multi-sig
The project focuses on making every Ethereum account a smart account and enabling new use cases including AI, staking, gaming, SocialFi, DeFi, and payments.
