Gate.io, a popular cryptocurrency platform, now supports Shiba Inu’s layer-2 network, Shibarium. Users on Gate.io can now enjoy the improved features of Shibarium, seamlessly integrating Shiba Inu into the broader crypto landscape and unlocking new opportunities for Gate.io users.
Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 network, has seen increased popularity and notable achievements since its introduction. However, during its initial months, it faced challenges in getting fully integrated with the major cryptocurrency exchanges despite attracting substantial investment and achieving a growing number of user transactions.
Gate.io Breaks Ground by Integrating Shibarium Support
In a significant development, Gate.io, a major player in the cryptocurrency exchange arena, has embraced Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 network. This groundbreaking integration facilitates the withdrawal of Shibaswap (BONE) tokens from Gate.io to users’ native Shibarium wallets, including popular ones like Metamask.
Lucie, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, highlighted the importance of this milestone, emphasizing its role in enhancing accessibility to the Shibarium network. With Gate.io offering fiat deposit options, users now have a seamless pathway to purchase BONE tokens on the platform and transfer them to Shibarium. This opens up opportunities for users to delve into the expanding dApp ecosystem on the Shibarium blockchain.
Huge shoutout to @gate_io for introducing #Shibarium support! 🚀
Now, easily purchase and send Bone to #Shibarium through Gateio. Appreciate this 👏

Shibarium Gains Momentum with Gate.io Support
The Shiba Inu community is rejoicing over Gate.io’s decision to embrace Shibarium, considering it a significant milestone and a notable achievement. The integration with a prominent exchange like Gate.io signifies a crucial step forward for Shibarium, as securing support from top-tier exchanges is a pivotal challenge for emerging blockchains.
Enthusiastically welcomed by the Shiba Inu community, Gate.io’s support is seen as a catalyst that could encourage other major exchanges to follow suit. Given Shiba Inu’s substantial community base, boasting over 1.6 million holders, the project becomes an attractive avenue for exchanges aiming to attract a larger user base and trading volume.
Gate.io is not the sole exchange to announce Shibarium support recently. GroveX, based in Australia, integrated with the network in October. Shytoshi Kusama, the lead of Shibarium’s team, has also confirmed ongoing discussions with other exchanges to secure additional integrations.
