The Tron-based memecoin generator, SunPump, flipped its Solana-based PumpFun, in daily revenue, despite being just recently launched.
SunPump launched on August 9, 2024, within the Tron blockchain, allowing users to create and trade memecoins.
According to the latest reports from Dune, on August 21, SunPump launched 7,531 tokens via its generator.
The tokens deployed brought in daily revenue of 3.65 million TRX worth over $560,000 at current prices in 25,054 total transactions.
Also, on-chain data from Dune revealed that PumpFun’s daily revenue on August 21 was 2,575 SOL worth over $368,600 at current prices.
The same data reveals that about 6,941 tokens were created with PumpFun and the daily transactions were 6,941.
SunPump’s Memecoin Price Volatility
SumPump’s generated memecoins have been seeing increased price fluctuations.
For instance, SunDog‘s price surged by 25% at one point yesterday and was traded above $0.25, followed by a dip to $0.21.
At the moment of writing this article, the coin is trading at $0.21, down by over 19% in the past 24 hours, according to data from CoinGecko.
The token now has a total market cap of over $210 million and on August 21, Sundog’s market cap reached $250 million at one point, as the coin saw increased price volatility during these days.
Tron’s founder Justin Sun has been posting a lot on X about SunPump over the last few days, and today, he shared a post noting that the team at SunPump is doing their best to serve all the meme developers and users in the industry, and this is only the beginning.
Also, earlier today, he shared another message saying “Tron is the Kingdom of Memes.” He highlighted that he loves competition as it enhances user experience, offers better services, and delivers better outcomes for everyone.
Regarding the price of Tron (TRX) today, at the moment of writing this article, the coin is trading at $0.15, down by over 5% in the past 24 hours.
