SunPump teams with OKX wallet to boost Tron meme coins trading

SunPump has announced a strategic partnership with OKX Wallet, aiming to enhance the trading of meme coins on the Tron blockchain. SunPump revealed that the OKX wallet will release new energy subsidies for Tron’s blockchain ecosystem, enabling easier and lower-cost transactions.

OKX wallet will introduce energy subsidies for Tron’s meme coins

SunPump and OKX Wallet collaboration is part of Justin Sun’s broader strategy to drive adoption and expand the reach of Tron’s ecosystem.

In a morning announcement on X, SunPump wrote:

OKX Wallet has launched the energy subsidies for meme coin trading on the TRON ecosystem, reducing on-chain transaction costs for TRON users. You can now easily trade memes on SunPump through OKX Wallet.

The new alliance reinforces Tron’s ecosystem appeal, building on Tron’s founder, Justin Sun, achievements in lowering Tron’s transaction fees and introducing a comprehensive buyback and burn mechanism.

These measures aim to make TRON’s meme coins and overall ecosystem more attractive to users and investors.

SunPump falls behind Solana’s Pump.fun in token revenue

Despite Justin Sun’s active promotion of SunPump, the platform is falling behind competitors like Solana’s Pump.fun. By September 6, Pump.fun had introduced six times more tokens than SunPump in 24 hours and had achieved nearly nine times higher revenue. Additionally, Pump.fun has experienced a significant increase in user engagement, with almost 30,000 new addresses compared to SunPump’s 2,134.

Justin Sun, however, gave a statement on Tron’s revenue. He claimed that in the last year, the Tron protocol had achieved over $1.57 billlion in revenue, culminating in a 115% year-on-year rise. He also added that in the last 30 days, Tron’s revenue rocketed to $226 million, which almost hit 50% surge from the last month.

Although SunPump is trailing behind Pump.fun, the platform could have more projects lined up for itself other than OKX’s alliance that could turn the tides. For instance Justin Sun and Austarlian Rapper Iggy Azalea have hinted at a future collaboration.

Following a post from X user, @bull_bnb who suggested a partnership between the two, the rapper Iggy quickly responded, “Any ideas Justin?” and Justin followed with a post “Let’s do something together!”  Thus, this simple exchange has translated into major speculations on possible involvement of Iggy’s $Mother meme coin with Tron’s blockchain.
