Terra Do Kwon Secures Top Law Firm for Defense in US Lawsuit

Terra co-founder Do Kwon has hired the renowned law firm Dentons to assist him in his legal defense against ongoing prosecution and investigation by US federal prosecutors.

Terra co-founder Do Kwon has enlisted the services of Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, to support him in addressing the prosecution and investigation by US federal prosecutors. This is not the first time Do Kwon has sought representation from Dentons, as he has previously engaged their lawyers to challenge subpoenas and lawsuits in his legal defense.

Terra Co-Founder Do Kwon Enlists Dentons Law Firm for Defense in US Lawsuit:

Terra co-founder Do Kwon, who is involved in a passport forgery case in Montenegro, had his bail revoked by the court. Prosecutors argued that he posed a flight risk and the bail amount was insufficient for house arrest.

Amid discussions about his potential extradition, Do Kwon has enlisted the services of Dentons, a prominent law firm, to handle his legal matters regarding lawsuits and investigations in the US.

According to Digital Asset’s report on May 29, Dentons is currently ranked sixth among global law firms and is known as the largest law firm worldwide in terms of its number of lawyers.

In February, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Do Kwon and Terraform Labs, alleging fraud and the sale of unregistered securities. In March, the US District Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York brought eight charges against Do Kwon, including securities fraud, wire fraud, commodities fraud, and conspiracy.

Do Kwon had previously hired Dentons to challenge a subpoena from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during their investigation of Mirror Protocol in 2021. Dentons also represented Do Kwon in a class action lawsuit in the Singapore High Court in 2022. The law firm also provides legal representation for Terra in other lawsuits.

Do Kwon hired Dentons in the past to help him contest a subpoena from the US SEC during their investigation of Mirror Protocol in 2021. Dentons also represented Do Kwon in a lawsuit filed in the Singapore High Court in 2022. Additionally, Dentons serves as legal counsel for Terra in various other legal cases.
