Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, has launched a new attack in the last few minutes and accelerated its momentum in recent days.
As of the time of writing, Bitcoin has set a new all-time high at $91,827, and is currently trading just below the record at $91,715.
With the latest rally, BTC has gained 4.27% in 24 hours, with a significant portion of the rally coming in the form of a $1,000 increase in just one minute.
When liquidation data is examined, we see that there are severe liquidations due to high volatility. The cryptocurrency market has experienced a huge liquidation of $635 million in the last 24 hours. $156 million of these were observed in Bitcoin, while the rest were in Ethereum, Dogecoin and PNUT tokens, respectively.
With the latest rise, Ethereum price also took off and the increase in the last hour was 3%. The altcoins that rose the most in the last hour are dominated by memecoins such as WIF, PEPE and BRETT. PEPE’s rise seems to be due to its listing on Coinbase.
