The adoption and education of cryptocurrencies have been constantly surging, and the number of users is estimated to reach a new milestone by 2025.
As per a recent study by BITmarkets Academy in alliance with Ipsos quotes that 11 percent of females hold crypto double of which are held by men. Further notes that around 46 percent of women expressed towards digital assets, and also are more eager to learn about cryptocurrencies.
Head of data analytics at BITmarkets Academy, Ali Daylami argued that women are more active in first knowledge about cryptocurrencies before investing, on the other hand, men are inclined towards trading.
4 percent of men have a deeper understanding of cryptocurrencies and when it comes to knowledge about complex terms such as cryptocurrency exchange 14 percent of men admit lack of understanding.
Daylami quoted “The survey highlights that, as with other areas of investment, men are more proactive in the cryptocurrency space, more willing to take risks, and more inclined to try new technologies. However, it is important to note that women’s potential interest in cryptocurrencies is nearly on par with men’s, and women are even more inclined to study the field before diving in. This may signal a trend toward converging economic interests between men and women.”
Will Women Crypto Users Over Power Men?
By the end of the first quarter of 2024 total number of cryptocurrency users in the world was 520 million, including a 39 percent contribution from the women. In terms of female crypto adoption and investment India stands third, where one woman among 10 holds cryptocurrency.
As the popularity of crypto is surging, several universities and academic institutions have begun teaching blockchain and other decentralization concepts as degree courses.
The eagerness to pursue studies, courses, and other educational programs related to cryptocurrencies has become one of the primary reasons behind the surge in the trading of digital assets and blockchain-based currencies.
A research conducted by a crypto exchange based in India notes that Delhi women’s stands first in terms of digital asset investment. One primary reason by the majority of investors over cryptocurrencies is they help them to make more in less period of time.
It is worth noting that females are also holding some big posts in the crypto market in different companies. On the other hand, females like Ruja Plamenova Ignatova and Caroline Allison have gained huge attention because of their involvement in billion-dollar frauds and other illicit activities.
Names like Hester Peirce and Cathie Wood have been praised for their statements about cryptocurrencies.
