Worldcoin Invests Over Sh700m in Kenya

The CEO of Tools for Humanity, Alex Blania, mentioned that the funds have been used for educating people about blockchain and cryptocurrency, as well as raising awareness about information and communication technology (ICT).

He explained that they have worked with third-party agents and partners to achieve this, and they plan to invest more funds in the future.



Tools for Humanity, a subsidiary of the Worldcoin project, has revealed that it has invested more than 700 million Kenyan Shillings in Kenya. The CEO, Alex Blania, explained that these funds have been used for educating people about blockchain and cryptocurrency and raising awareness about information and communication technology (ICT).

They have worked with third-party agents and partners for these initiatives, including organizations like Strathmore University, the Blockchain Association of Kenya, the American Chamber of Commerce, the Africa Blockchain Centre, and New Hope Mukuru. Blania also mentioned their intention to invest more funds in the project and emphasized the legitimacy of their business in the country during a parliamentary committee inquiry.

Alex Blania, CEO of Tools for Humanity, emphasized the long-term commitment of the Worldcoin project to Kenya, stating that their dedication to the Kenyan people is genuine. He assured Kenyans that neither the company nor the Worldcoin Foundation would ever sell users’ personal or biometric data.



Blania mentioned that all the personal and biometric data collected in Kenya is securely stored on servers located in the US, Italy, Germany, Poland, or South Africa. He also highlighted that they always obtain a person’s free and informed consent before processing their personal data.
