Binance, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange globally, has introduced 22 new tradable assets and expanded its Flexible Credit and VIP Credit services.
They have also included altcoins like Compound (COMP), Theta Network (THETA), and Shiba Inu (SHIB) as new collateral assets. This move has led to speculation that Binance may list ShibaSwap (BONE) as Shibarium’s Layer-2 Blockchain launch is scheduled for this month.
Shiba Inu Now a Collateral Asset on Binance
On August 4th, Binance made an official announcement revealing the inclusion of 22 altcoins as tradable and collateral assets in its Flexible Credit and VIP Credit services. Among them, 8 new tradable assets (AUCTION, PYR, ILV, KNC, YGG, GAS, CELO, and IRIS) and 8 new collateral assets (SHIB, COMP, IOTA, RLC, HOT, ENJ, THETA, and IOST) were added to the Flexible Credit service.
In addition, Binance added NKN, FARM, DIA, YGG, OGN, and ACA as tradable assets to its VIP Credit service. The exchange also introduced XEM as a new borrowable asset for Cross Margin and launched the XEM/USDT trading pair.
Is Binance Preparing to List ShibaSwap (BONE)?
Several well-known cryptocurrency exchanges, including OKX, Huobi, and Crypto.com, have already listed BONE after the successful launch of Shibarium’s testnet called PuppyNet. The increasing demand for the testnet and BONE indicates that preparations for a significant mainnet launch are in progress.
Binance, being one of the major exchanges, typically lists new altcoins, and it seems they might be waiting for the Shibarium mainnet launch to add BONE to their platform.
Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer, has repeatedly stated that Shibarium’s mainnet launch will happen this month, suggesting that it is imminent. Therefore, it’s likely that Binance will list BONE shortly after the anticipated mainnet launch.
