SUI price rises 3.80% in 24 hours, trading starts May 18, 2023, at 9 AM PT.
Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US, has announced that it will add Sui (SUI) to its trading platform. The company aims to provide trustworthy digital assets to everyday users and promote the adoption of Web3 technology. This announcement aligns with Coinbase’s mission and goals.
“On Wednesday, the cryptocurrency exchange based in California shared that it will gradually introduce trading for the SUI-USD pair if there is enough liquidity. Starting from May 18, 2023, at 9 AM PT, users will be able to trade SUI”.
Following its recent introduction on Binance, the largest cryptocurrency trading platform, where users can trade and engage in SUI farming, the SUI token is now being added to Coinbase. This news comes only a few weeks after its initial launch on Binance.
Placed in Experimental Category
The SUI token will be categorized as “Experimental,” according to the announcement. This category is specifically for cryptocurrencies that are either new to the market or have low trading volume compared to more popular cryptocurrencies.
Trading will begin on or after 9AM PT on 18 May 2023, if liquidity conditions are met. Once sufficient supply of this asset is established trading on our SUI-USD trading pairs will launch in phases. Support for SUI may be restricted in some supported jurisdictions.

The SUI community responded very positively to the news, expressing excitement about the token’s listing on Coinbase. However, some PEPE token holders feel excluded and left out. They hope that Coinbase will also make an announcement about adding PEPE in the near future. Coinbase has been actively pursuing plans to launch more cryptocurrencies, which has raised expectations among various token communities.
Osmosis (OSMO), a decentralized exchange (DEX) developed for the Cosmos ecosystem, was recently added to the cryptocurrency exchange’s roadmap and is presently pending listing permission. As a result of this recent update, SUI’s price has increased by almost 3.80% in the last 24 hours. At the time of this writing, one SUI is worth around $1.19.
