Dell Joins Hedera Governing Council, Strengthening Committee with New Addition
Hedera, the open-source public network with a governing council, has welcomed COFRA as its newest member. With this addition, the council now consists of 30 members. COFRA, a long-standing family firm, has been in operation for 182 years and currently employs over 60,000 individuals worldwide.
COFRA, a company dedicated to serving customers, has become a member of the Hedera Governing Council (HBAR). Their aim is to create cutting-edge solutions using blockchain technology on the platform, starting with tokenization and enhancing transparency in supply chains. Through Hedera’s Token Service (HTC), COFRA plans to distribute tokenized representations of physical assets.
Simon Olson, co-chair of Hedera’s membership committee stated:
“COFRA has a proven history of forming alliances to address challenging issues, and we have great confidence in their ability to make significant contributions to Hedera”.

Hedera has been embracing numerous projects and businesses across different industries in recent months. These initiatives leverage Hedera’s core services like the Hedera Token Service (HTS) and the Hedera Smart Contract Service (HSCS) to eliminate intermediaries and reduce transaction expenses.
The Hedera Governing Council includes recognized companies like IBM, Dell, LG, Boeing, and more. Experts in the market think that if the overall cryptocurrency market improves, the price of HBAR could see significant growth. This is due to both the recent addition of Dell to the 30-member committee and the presence of well-established firms on the council.
