In a recent CoinGecko poll about preferred blockchains for cryptocurrency trading, Shytoshi Kusama, the enigmatic figure behind Shiba Inu, made a significant move. The poll options included Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Bitcoin Ordinals/BRC-20, with Solana leading at 32.5%.

Responding on X (Twitter), Kusama added Shibarium to the list, drawing an enthusiastic response from the SHIB community. This move not only showcased their support for Shibarium but also highlighted their backing for Shytoshi and the entire SHIB team.

Shibarium Achieves Milestone with 150 Million Transactions

This week, Shibarium, the layer-2 solution of Shiba Inu, marked a significant achievement by surpassing 150 million total transactions. This milestone reflects a remarkable surge, doubling within two weeks and growing over 200 times since late November.

Shibarium’s utility is experiencing exponential growth, attracting new projects and retaining existing ones on this ambitious blockchain. As of now, the total transactions on Shibarium have exceeded 155 million, even though the daily transaction level has slightly decreased to 6.45 million.

The number of connected blockchain wallets on Shibarium has risen to 1,318,307, and the total count of produced blocks stands at 2,231,100.

Simultaneously, the burn rate of Shiba Inu has witnessed a substantial increase, surging by nearly 422% within the last 24 hours. Despite this surge, the total amount of SHIB burned remains modest at 5,321,687 SHIB meme coins.

Executing seven transactions, the Shiba Inu community moved these 5.3 million coins to unspendable blockchain addresses. Notably, the three largest transactions involved 1,777,777 SHIB (twice, burned by the same wallet) and 1,000,000 SHIB.

Currently, Shiba Inu, the second-largest meme coin, is trading at $0.00001037, showing a 2.82% increase.
