X (formerly Twitter) is taking significant steps to enhance its Everything app, including the introduction of payment solutions. X CEO Linda Yaccarino teased upcoming features in a video, indicating that X will enable payments through chat.

With its Everything app, X aims to offer users a personalized experience, encompassing information sharing, community engagement, calls, online shopping, instant money transfers, and the opportunity to earn income as part of Meta’s creator community.

Elon Musk, who has been striving to create an all-in-one experience with his Everything app, is a vocal supporter of cryptocurrencies, particularly Dogecoin. When Musk gained full control of Twitter and now X, it fueled speculation that DOGE payments might become available on the platform.

This anticipation led to a significant surge in DOGE’s price last year. Dogecoin remains one of the top ten digital assets by market capitalization.

Possible Paid Usage for X Platform Users

However, Elon Musk clarified in a post on X that these claims are baseless, and he has no plans to introduce fees for all users on the X platform. This statement received positive feedback from many users, alleviating concerns in the market.

In a recent post, there was controversy over Elon Musk’s alleged statement about implementing a small monthly fee for all X platform users. However, the Community Notes labeled it as a deceptive post.

In response to increasing scrutiny from German regulators, Elon Musk has agreed to share data from his X platform. The number of cases in which X complies with German requests has significantly increased. Sebastian Murer from the Munich public prosecutor’s office revealed that X currently shares user data with Bavarian authorities in 50 to 100 cases per month. These numbers indicate a substantial increase since the acquisition.
