Someone who wasn’t supposed to got into PEPE’s old Telegram channel. They used it to promote things that were not real. PEPE asked its members to only pay attention to messages from its official Twitter account.
The PEPE crypto community had some bad news to share. They said their old Telegram channel, which they used to control, got hacked. Someone they didn’t allow took over the account with the name “lordkeklol.”
The people behind the Pepe meme coin told everyone about it on X.

According to the update, this unauthorized person used the hacked account to do some bad things. They promoted scams and launched other cryptocurrencies for the Pepe community, all without permission.
To deal with this problem and protect the community, PEPE asked its members to report the hacked PEPE Telegram group as a “fake account” to Telegram. They hope that if everyone reports it, Telegram will take the fraudulent channel down.
PEPE also said they’re going to create a new account with better security to keep the community safe. They want everyone to know that all official messages from the project team will only come from their Twitter account.
The PEPE admin also pointed out that there’s another fake Twitter account pretending to be the compromised ‘lordkeklol’ account. They want people to know that the current Twitter handle @lordkeklol has nothing to do with PEPE and should be reported as spam or impersonation.
It’s important to note that these notifications from the PEPE team came after some former members stole 16 trillion PEPE tokens, which were worth about $15 million at the time. They moved the stolen funds to several centralized exchanges.
