Utilizing Polkadot’s Cross-Consensus Message format (XCM), this development enhances interoperability between different blockchain networks, facilitating smoother asset movements.

The bridge between Manta Pacific and Manta Atlantic, the two primary ecosystems of Manta Network, plays a central role. Manta Pacific, functioning as a modular Layer 2 (L2) ecosystem, offers a scalable environment with low gas fees, catering to activities like DeFi, SocialFi, and zkApps.

This development signifies a significant advancement in improving overall cross-chain functionality.
For users holding $MANTA on Manta Pacific, the cBridge enables a seamless transition to the Manta Atlantic ecosystem, facilitating activities such as staking. The bridging process necessitates users to have $MANTA in their Manta Atlantic wallet and $ETH in their Manta Pacific wallet to cover gas fees.
The cBridge offers an alternative bridging route, known as Atlantic<>MoonBeam<>Pacific, in addition to the standard Manta Bridge. This alternative route, activated in case of Manta Bridge failure, leverages Celer’s cBridge to transfer $MANTA between Moonbeam and Manta Pacific. This robust bridging infrastructure enhances reliability and ensures uninterrupted cross-chain operations within the Manta Network.
