The Terra Luna Classic community is deciding whether to make a big change to their blockchain with an upgrade called v2.2.1. While they are voting on this, tokens in the Terra ecosystem like LUNC, LUNA, and USTC are getting traded a lot.
Terra Luna Classic’s v2.2.1 Core Upgrade Proposal
A developer named Vinh Nguyen from the L1 Terra Classic Task Force (L1TF) has said that they want to do a core upgrade called v2.2.1, and they want the Terra Luna Classic community to vote on it. If the community says yes, they will do the upgrade when the blockchain reaches block height 14,514,000, which they think will be around 14:15 UTC on September 12.
The developer team already did a test on a test network, and they fixed all the problems that they found. A lot of people who check the network to make sure it’s safe also joined the test network before they decided to do the main network upgrade. They want everyone who uses the network to update to the latest version of their software after the community says yes.
Most people in the community like the idea, and 99.65% of them said yes when they voted. But some people don’t like it because the last upgrade caused problems for apps and projects on the network, like Astroport.
All the people who check the network to make sure it’s safe also like the idea, including some of the top ones like JESUSisLORD, StakeBin, Lunanauts, and Hexxagon.
The upgrade will bring some important changes, like upgrading the cosmos SDK, changing how the network works, and making it better for connecting to other networks. They also want to change how they collect a special fee and share it with people.
LUNC and LUNA Tokens See Massive Trading Activity
In the last day, tokens in the Terra ecosystem were traded a lot. LUNC’s trading went up by 300%, and LUNA’s trading went up by 1900%. The prices of these tokens are also going up.
LUNC’s price went up by 2% in the last 24 hours. Right now, it’s being traded at $0.000060. The lowest price in the last day was $0.0000591, and the highest was $0.0000635.
On the other hand, LUNA’s price is $0.41, and it went up by nearly 6% in the last 24 hours. The lowest price in the last day was $0.391, and the highest was $0.474.
