This move comes in response to the security concerns raised by the Terra Luna Classic community. The proposed upgrade will focus on strengthening the security of core components. Traders responded positively to this announcement, leading to a substantial and rapid increase in the prices of LUNC and USTC within a short span.
Terra Luna Classic Announces Core Security Upgrade
In a recent post on X, Vinh Nguyen, a developer from the Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF), revealed plans for a ‘core security upgrade package’ on January 16. The initiative aims to address security risks within Terra Luna Classic, responding to community concerns about the absence of new features from legacy components.
According to Nguyen, a successful upgrade of core components will enhance both security and stability, meeting the infrastructure requirements for TFL support. The team, comprising Vinh, Inon Man, and Frag (a voluntary contributor), estimates an 11-week timeline for the upgrade with a total budget of $51,000. The funds will be held in a multisig account by members of the package and oversight committee.
The components targeted for upgrade include Wasm module (wasmd) and Wasm Virtual Machine (wasmvm), Cosmos SDK, Comet BFT, IBC-GO, and Mainnet. The announcement expresses gratitude to those who reviewed the package, aligning it with the approved proposal of Pay – per – Job gov.
LUNC and USTC Prices Surge After Terra Luna Classic Security Upgrade
After the recent announcement of a core security upgrade package by Terra Luna Classic’s developer, L1TF, both LUNC and USTC prices experienced a substantial rally. Traders appear to be making adjustments to their positions in response to this significant development.
